Music Major
In the next year I will be spending my time looking for the correct place to spend four or five years of my life.
I plan on being a music major and staying in state. I'm staying in state because of cost. I also plan on being a music teacher and going to a good school. I've looked at Furman, Winthrop, College of Charleston and Coastal Carolina.
I was wondering if any of you went to these schools or know anything about them that I wont learn from the admissions office.

Re: Music Major
if you are going to teach anything below college, you will need an education degree/pass a big test...unless you mean teach on the side in which case, whatever
Depending on the school district, some districts these days "hire by contract" for the bands/orchestras and it is a way to not need a degree, however doing that usually means no benefits and they can really drop you at any time, no union security...which for teachers is pretty important.
