After reading the article, I see you meant Russia as in the Country of Russia, and not some unruly chap named Russia. Forgive me if I am being overly critical but the title isn't the greatest word usage, but that is my own opinion.

The article reminded me of the gas crisis in the 70's that I read about and studied in high school and in college.

Looks like some countries are way too dependent on one company, and well most Russian citizens can't afford gas or oil heating so i hope the citizens of those countries wore some extra layers to work and lit up the fireplaces.

Russia is experiencing an economic crisis (though haven't they been experiencing one since 1918?)

It seems that the Ukraine may have slipped behind its payments. and if the Ukraine is the first country that the pipeline passes through then, everyone else suffers.

I am curious where Greece, Macedonia, Romania, Turkey and Croatia got their oil/gas from during the cold war.......

Maybe the Ukraine shouldn't have helped Georgia, maybe the other countries should have helped and then this incident might not have happened. (Putin could very well be punishing the Ukrainian Gov't for helping the Georgian People this past summer)

Sorry, I couldn't help my self... This is a pretty bad situation for Europe. If this goes on for more than a few days, you might start seeing casualties because people can't heat their homes... much less cook anything.

Don't start no shit, won't be no shit... Why does Russia have to play the bully all the time? They're like that one guy in your circle of friends that nobody likes. It's like the US and Europe are at the bowling alley, and all of a sudden,

Just another reason for energy independence. It seems that the countries with the most energy resources are complete pricks. Either way we need to get past gas and oil and figure out a more sustainable solution no matter the current cost. If we don't do this now, fifty years on, we are gonna be screwed. I'd pay 30% more if I knew the energy I was using didn't prop up shit governments and didn't ruin the environment.

You guys may make light of this, but here in Europe, this is a really big deal.
Without a steady supply of natural gas, everyone here would be screwed.
Russia supplies, directly or indirectly 25% of the gas used here.
It would be very cold in my house tonight without the natural gas heating warming up the place.

As for being dicks again?
When did they stop being dicks?
