BCS Championship Game Thread

Here's my take on the game.

Fuck Ron Cherry. With a brick. I was worried as soon as I heard they had an ACC crew for this game, I was terrified when I saw it was Ron Cherry. He killed us on non-calls and bad-calls against FSU. I was losing my mind in the first half with all the holds not being called. I recorded the game, Ill watch it again and count the blatant ones. I will likely punch my dog while doing it.

OU's offensive line is as advertised. They are absolute hosses. Bradford was the better NFL QB on the field, no doubt. The uptempto stuff really worked our defense over in the first half TD, our guys didnt get the gaps covered quick enough and OU got big rushing yards. OU sold out to stop our run, when we went single wing motion they pulled the safeties up and put 8 in the box every time. Why we didnt play action off that and go deep is beyond me. Their front seven played as good a game against us as anyone has all year. Gresham is a mismatch like I expected, I think we did as good as you can bottling him up for the most part. I wish CI would have been in this game, it would have been fun to see which TE/WR hybrid freak wound up with the most plays.

Fuck Nick Harris. Him pulling on Harvins ankle after the play was as dirty and ghetto as you can get. He also got away with a horse collar (thanks Ron Cherry!) that jacked up Rainey's leg. Karma says he should get hit by a leaky bus full of bleeding hepatitis patients. Ok, maybe just I say that, but he is a grade A douche. :5

Our secondary is full of stone cold killers, and we arent losing a single player on that crew. The O played average, we really had trouble with protections and the play calling was pretty sorry. Mullen's mind wasnt focused on this game, Im glad to see him go. Tebow has "it", he wills that team to wins and anyone that thinks he wont be an asset in the NFL just feeds him to do it. Anyone that says he cant throw the ball is a homer or blind. Yes, he made bad reads on those first two picks. But the throws he made, especially down the stretch were as good as it gets. Harvin was the best player on the field with a bad wheel. Im sorry we didnt get to see him at 100% in likely his final game, he would have put on a show against that secondary.

2 football championships in 4 years, 2 basketball championships in that same 4 year span. Its great, to be, a Florida Gator! :6

Helluva game, really. That shovel option won it for them.

But I got real tired of the Tebow-fellating announcers.

They would have taken the flag on that play chosen, it set the tone for the rest of the game. Did you see how iglesias ducked on that long pass and dropped the ball? That hit payed off right there.
