That looks about right. I guess they are putting a lot of stock into that game against Georgia Tech for LSU. I can't say I disagree though. All LSU needs is average QB (not spectacular), so their defense doesn't spend 35+ minutes on the field every game. If Jefferson can simply maintain the offense (which I think he can), LSU will be a contender. Unless Texas screws up drastically, they shouldn't have a problem winning the Big12 with McCoy coming back.

Can't argue much. Florida is returning pretty much every important piece except Harvin from a National Championship team. USC just reloads every year. UT has a good portion of their team back, except their do nothing running backs. OU stock will drop a lot if Bradford goes pro.

At the moment Harvin is a lean to return (said it at the celebration today), and everyone in Spikes circle (the DC, various defensive players) has told them he is returning. So we are losing 3 starters, all on offense (one WR, two OL) as it stands right now. You never know whats going to happen in college football, but they seem to be a lock for the championship game at a minimum.
Outside of Jefferson LSU has a potential stud coming in at QB, so he doesnt just have the dynamic interception duo of Hatch and Lee backing him up anymore. Elam at DE is a badass too, very scary off the edge.

Meh. I don't claim to be very knowledgeable in college football, yet. But it's so big at VT, it's kind of hard to ignore. Maybe we can build on the momentum gained at the end of this season. Who knows...but preseason ranks don't mean a whole lot to me.
Go VT! :10

The problem is that we can't keep a dominant defensive back to stay...Our secondary gets burnt like toast.
Our defense, however, has remained very strong through these down years.
Jeff Bowden (Bobby's son) put the program in intensive care with his inept offense. Cost us recruits and time that our rivals used to step to the top of the class.
