Thread: Karate Kid Redux

Looks similar in name alone. I mean, the new kid is like what, 9 or 10? WHich in and of itself is dumb.
And from the preview there's no "wax on, wax off." Its just some bs about taking a jacket on and off.

Hollywood is running out of new movie ideas. Soon, all ideas will be gone and every movie that comes out will be a remake or just a different spin on an existing movie.

Yeah I noticed quite a bit of kung fu in the trailer with only marginal japanese karate-like punches and stances. A lot of it is, of course similar, but kung fu movement is different enough that if you are familiar with the styles you can pick it out quite easily. I guess they are betting on the general western audiences not knowing the difference, thinking that all martial arts are "karate".
