One good thing about the off the servers right now

Granted most of us are annoyed with our political debates, but it could be worse. Go take a look at the Steam Forums, where you can hear everyone in every thread bitching about the prices for people in Europe right now.

Ugh its getting annoying, yeah its expensive so what? if a game on Steam costs me more i go to a place called the Store or a E-Store and see if i can find it cheaper and if i do i buy it.

I honestly think they have a right to complain about it. some of those prices were more than a 25% increase, and we bitch when prices go up as well so where do we get off telling them to stop complaining? Valve needs to keep up with the currency exchange. And there are ALOT of games i find on steam that i have never seen in a store.

Hi Gentlemen,

I think you will find that people all over the globe moan about increased prices. Especially those that fall into the bracket of family providers. This is not a national trait. To single out a nation or people is wrong. I do not see Europeans as you would call us posting anything that singles out Americans in a negative way. An offensive way to address a topic in my opinion.

No need to insult an entire region of the world over a few people. I am sure there are just as many, if not more, Americans bitching about the price and/or quality of games as there are Europeans. Hell, go read some of our forums about FFOW and Quake Wars. If you want to insult idiots no problem, but don't lump in millions of people that could give a rats ass about video games too just because they are the same race/religion/sexual oritnation, or anything else for that matter.

hmm sounds like civil either wants to start a fight or be a dick considering you can't seem to understand anything in the context. I'm talking about people from europe bitching about the steam prces, so i didn't realize all of europe had a steam account

Oh and i'd think it be obvisous if you look at whats making it annoying, if people in india or russia or canada us w.e were bitching i'd feel the exact same way.

but SORRY i dont want to have to see 3 billion thread on the same thing when i'm trying tfind out whats going on with steam

No, sounds like Civil is doing his job as a moderator of this forum to remind you that just because some people are pissed about prices does not mean you need to insult an entire nation. Just like I don't accuse the entire state of Arizona for being a dipshit when you make a stupid comment like that I am sure that many Europeans that visit TTP's forums don't feel like hearing you ridicule their entire nation for the posts of a few.
