I'm a "Conservative" however I do go center on alot of policies. But when it comes to Fiscal policy I'm a rock hard conservative. Bush spent all kinds of money to Boeing for a "Virtual Fence" and it STILL doesn't work! AND we still have NO Fence on the Border ! I say use a couple strings of Barbed Wire and Claymores ! A couple million will take care of it. I think a little common sense goes a Long Way !
On the stimulus package........just tell me ONE thing the govt has EVER run that has showed a Profit ! Just One will do ! Your asking Donkeys and Elephants to do something they ARE NOT Qualified to do ! The 545 knuckleheads in Congress are going to put the next 2 generations in debt up to their Eyeballs ! Look let me put it this way most of the guys in Congress are Lawyers and they only know how to Rip people (usually the Taxpayer) OFF ! Just ask Pelosi or Reed or any other knucklehead when the last time THEY paid for a gallon of gas out of their Own pockets. WE pay for just about Everything They do !

There is one I can think of. The Resolution Trust Corporation. It was created to unwind all the bad debts from the Savings & Loan problems of the 1980's. It took awhile but eventually turned a profit.

And besides, whoever promised a profit? All I am hearing is that the stimulus is needed to avoid a catastrophe, not to turn a quick profit.
