Sooo, let me get this straight.... Mr. B-rack Obama would like to spend more tax payers money to stimulate the economy? Didn't we already try that? http://money.cnn.com/2008/02/11/news...ion=2008021115

Haven't we all learned that our government spending massive amounts of money does nothing but worsen our situation? Bush signed a $170 billion dollar stimulus package into action merely 1 year ago.... In the past year, we have spent $970+ billion dollars to "avoid" a depression.... That's $970,000,000,000.

And now, if Obama succeeds in his agenda, we will be looking at something like this: $1,970,000,000,000

Where did all the money go? Would someone attempt to explain to me:

What happened to the previous shit ton of cash that we shelled out to the corporate scum sucking companies and banks?

IMO, The only change I see from Mr. B-rack Obama's agenda is one that worsens the economy and grants corporations more power to continue down the path of greed and destruction. If B-rack gets his way (Which he will). I predict a major depression that claims the lives of thousands of people and the sanity of millions.

Hmmmm... How many private jets could 1 trillion dollars buy?

In reality... This situation is much to complicated for me to be certain the outcome... So what do you all think?

Well, the whole idea is that government spending is supposed to jump start the economy. While in theory it does, A lot more needs to go on than just the government spends the money.

Who taught these people fiscal responsibility? I never spend more money than I have. Unfortunately that's exactly what the government is doing. Writing checks that it just cant cash.

What I want to know is where did all the money go that was lost in the economy? Did it just, disappear? Matter cannot be created or destroyed. Where the hell did it go?

It was lost, man. One day some guy was just carrying a few billion down the road, stopped to tie his shoe and it blew away in the wind... never seen again.

What I really want to know is why he's allowed to come on tv and say how he has a long term plan to stem the 10 trillion dollar deficit...and then turn around and say, "SUPRISE! Here's a stimulus package that in no way shape or form helps out our deficit, and as we found out before with bush's stimulus package, doesn't really help our economy in the short run. So, it doesn't help out in the long run, doesn't help out in the short run, so what does it really do? Appease all the Obama fanatics that listened to his cries for action. I would have voted for the guy if I could have, but he seriously doesn't seem to be keeping any of his promises. Instead, he's falling into form with his predecessor like you said Rooster, and the supposed "change" doesn't look to be coming...ever.

Spending your way out of debt has been a way that Capitalist countries have tried to avoid the business cycle. It was the way out of the Great Depression. It is called Keyensian economics http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keynesian However, it is debatable whether it works or not. Usually a war comes along and solves the problem WWI, WWII, Vietamn, Korea, Cold War...but Iraq doesn't seem to fit.

Which explains to me exactly why we're so scared of IRAN and North Korea... Thanks for that... More light has been shed on my assumptions.
