anyone have any suggestions on how to get my girlfriend to start using xfire instead of aim so that she doesn't interupt my gaming?

I don't think you're gonna have to worry about that, cause after she finds out you posted this she'll probably punch you in the taint and break up with you.

its not that i want time alone its more like I don't want to have to stop pwning just to talk

JAN - just set up everything for her - favorite screen name, password, etc and then just download it for her the next time you are at her place.

Tell her that if she wants to get a hold of you, just fire xfire up and send you a message.

I actually did this with my wife and I have to be honest, it worked like a charm. I didn't have to stop every time she needed something small and she didn't feel like she was intruding.
