Turns out it was just a VERY dead battery. The Triple-A guy got it cranked with a jumper box, I let it idle in the parking lot of my office for 30 minutes, drove it to a battery store and they tested it and said it and my alternator are fine...

Batteries tend to 'go' when you have a cold snap or a heat wave. The heat and cold effect a battery adversely. BTW its gonna be 25 degrees here tonight in Orlando........... have pity on us 'bloodless' folks down here ! LMAO
Someone get a hold of Al Gore and get him to TURN UP the Global Warming or climate change or whatever they are calling it these days ! It hasn't been this cold in Florida in over 25 years ! This means No Harley riding for the next week or so !

Weird, maybe the door was left open and the interior light drained it down fast.

I've had batteries here in AZ completely fail in the matter of one day to the next because of the extreme weather, but those turned out to be truly dead and needing replacement.

Batteries can also go dead if the car sat for a while, something was left on(obviously), or if you have a short somewhere. It's happened to me before, big mystery as it would happen and it won't happen again for a year or so.

There's 3 basic things to check when your car won't start; spark, gas, and air... Your engine needs all of these things, and more often than not, the problem is easy to identify and remedy if you sort them out.

sometimes a battery just needs 6-8 hours on a 2 amp trickle charge. A quick charge at 40amp is just a surface charge and wont last long. A good long charge at 2amp helps in the winter when you need all those cranking amps.
