Simple Question

Ok, I am sick of reading this stuff on the forums. So I want to know if you guys and gals feel the same way. Who would be just fine never reading another discussion about religion, evolution, or other highly controversial topics on this forum? All it seems to do is cause huge fights and create enemies.

*And no, I'm not trying to propose we ban these topics. I just want to know who feels the same way I do.

I want to read them so long as they have intelligible debate and input.

Highly controversial doesn't mean it has to be a flame-war.

Yeap. Some people just can't have a civil and intelligent discussion of certain topics without turning it into a flame war. I blame them for ruining it for the rest of us.

Agreed. For the record, the site mods voted on an issue to separate threads with content that are highly controversial, and put them in a separate forum. The measure was soundly defeated.

I like to read them. I do not like it when it degenerates to a name calling match. I noticed the religious topics tend not to go that way. but the political ones frequently do.

They're fun to read because you get to see everyone elses opinions, regardless if you agree with them or not. Just because you have a different view than them doesn't make it right or wrong...I enjoy the ones, like above me, that don't descend into name-calling.

I read them, but I never have any input on them. Although a intellengent debate is a good read.

Not calling names out here but the Seperation of Church and State topic got wayyyyyyyy out of hand.
