I've been three times in the past, though sadly I won't make it this year. Nothing like paying some old guy 15 bucks to fire a few magazines from a Thompson that he used in WWII.

Dude that's cheap as hell! I was thinking they would charge at least 30 for like 2 magazines. I think the mini gun would be enough fun for an entire week.

From what I have been told the mini gun is there every year because it is owned by a range member who is a lawyer in Louisville. It is fairly impressive to see operating, especially during the night shoot.

It is usually $10 bucks to get in and you can go back and forth to your car in case you want to tailgate, put away purchases, etc. I sometimes bring a grill and cook some food in the parking lot. Bring a chair if you plan on spending the whole day there, as you can get tired in a hurry, also good to bring good walking shoes or boots. Bring cash as well if you plan on buying anything, there is an atm machine but I have seen it run out of cash. There is everything military and firearm related for sale there that is legal to buy. You can wear your pistol or sling your rifle and walk around, but they do require a safety zip tie through the chamber or blocking the bolt upon entry.

I agree with Blakeman, bring plenty of cash. I only took around 25 bucks last time and then I saw all the cool stuff that the vendors have for sale and regretted only bringing so little. Also like he said their atm will run out quick but then it's a bit of a drive to any atm nearby.
