    Converting standard video formats to mp4

    How can I do that so my phone can play the movies? My phone can only play mp4 format, are there sites that I can buy movies in this format? Or can I get any dvd movie I own and use software to convert it to mp4? Does anyone know any good software that does that lol?

    should be able to find a DVD ripper that will rip to mp4 online...I've never messed with the stuff...I normally just watch TV episodes for free :-P

    There was just another post about pretty much this same thing.

    The good news is that some DVD Mfgs are including a digital download of the movie. I've recently bought 2 of them, Speed Racer and Get Smart. I was able to D/L the movie as either a version for an iPod or Windows Media Player. If your phone is a Smart Phone, the Windows version should work.

    If you wanted to do like Youtube videos you can use Zamzar.com. They offer about a billion ways to convert stuff.
