Thread: TTP on Twitter!

So I noticed on the homepage we now have a Twitter.

I'm the first follower, I joined up on twitter just because of this.

What does everyone else think of this? Where we gonna go with it?

I'm still playing around with it....but it's interesting. If anything it's a great way for us to disseminate important info, articles, announcements, whatever. Also good for emergencies, since I can make twitter posts from my cell phone, which will then post to everyone following us as replies on their twitter (I guess), but also as text messages on their phone, so long as they have their mobile device activated and approved to twit.

if that's the verb for whatever twitter is. twitting....perhaps. Twittering sounds lame ass.

But yeah....interesting......I'd assume we'll be passing the logins to this to our article editors and web administrators, so when a new article is posted, it's twitted. Or, if there's something big going on with the site, or something that needs to be sent out large scale....we do so regarldess of whether TTP is online or not (such as in the DDoS attacks).

hmmmmmmmmmmm...........

This is pretty awesome if you ask me, I set it up to text me already.  I particularly like how I can set it up not to text me at certain times (I.E. School).

The article updates sound nice too.

This is also the second thing from me twitted, I feel special :P

so I sent my bigdogttp twitter account a direct message...and that showed up as a text on my cell.

but, I just bumped the TTP twitter page with another cell testing post....and no text message. What am I doing wrong?

I must say I don't understand what Twitter is all about but I am now a follower... :P

Look at the TTP twitter page and there should be a white box under the title for the page that says Following with a green check next to it and next to that a red minus that says device updates off, it looks like this:

>Following -Device Messages Off

click that box and there should be an option that says to send message updates to you.

I did that, and all it did was bring down the dropdown for following/blocking/removing. not text message stuff.
