ok so i lost my job over 2 months ago, pretty much have no real goals now, pretty pissed off at the world, turns out the only GOOD leads i had on some good jobs went belly up. everyone tells me "oh its not the end of the world", oh yah like thats really fucking comforting, yes i know its not the end of the fucking world, but maybe, just maybe life isn't turning out so fucking hot right now.

anyway, about the only thing that keeps me calmed down right now is songs like this... (linked cuz this song fucking rocks)

IT work... server administration, desktop support, some network support.

there are jobs to be had. What are the odds of you relocating?

My fiance's mom (programmer/coder) just got laid off for the second time in a year, so I know where you're coming from. If you have a deep enough skill/experience set, see if you can find a solid headhunter, not just job listing websites. What about sneaking into a college career fair. I've manned booths at several of those, and there are usually a few people that show up. Your experience level might win you out over a fresh college grad.

It sucks, but you have to keep your head up. It took 4 or 5 months for her to find a job, and she had to do a temporary move to Huntsville, AL, but it was at least a paying gig.

as for relocating, i might have to. Dallas is a pretty good option for me, my last job's HQ was there so basically I can get a job there no question. I was under contract at my last position, contract ended so thats why I am out of work.
