I wanted to know what TTP thought of such programs (as the majority site leans a bit to the right -not a bad thing) as this is a program supported mainly by a bit more leftist groups.

I think I tried to watch this show once. Not sure I get it. Are they actors pretending to be mentally retarded interviewers? Or are they actually handicapped? Either way, it's in pretty poor taste, and an exploitative gimmick to boot. Not that I'd expect anything else coming from the MTV network.

Yes, actually handicapped. And MTV isn't exploiting it, these people are chasing their dreams just like everyone else. They wanted a fake news show where they could be comedians etc. and luckily they got it.

But yes, I hate the show lol. I don't know why, but it bores me. Except for the episode where John Stamos helps the lead guy pick up chicks in Vegas

I've seen this before. I think it's kinda sad, but at the same time I try to put myself in the place of the handicapped. They are probably having a hell of a fun time doing this. The sad part is, the only reason this show airs is because people in America are extremely insecure about there intellectuality. So naturally, they want to watch mentally handicapped people on T.V. and laugh at how dumb they are. I feel that it is nothing more then a waste time to watch this show... I don't find mentally handicapped people humorous. They are people and should be treated like people.

I'd be curious to see who is profiting off of all the handicapped people on this show. I would conspire to think that because they are handicapped they cannot enter into a legal binding contract.

Yeah, I'm sure MTV gave them the show out of the goodness of their hearts. Please, it's exploitation, no matter how you look at it.

How's your news contacted MTV, not the other way around. It was their choice and they knew about what some would think. I think many people got the message.
