Thread: Do you smoke?

Curious how many smokers we have here.

I personally dont, but was curious.

If you do smoke, how many times have you tried to quit? Do you plan to continue smoking forever?

If you don't smoke, have you ever? What did it take for you to quit?

I smoked for a year or so in college, ran up a flight of stairs one day, had a really bad wheeze in my lungs and decided that this sucked and I quit cold turkey.

It's just not something I was every really interested in. Besides all the health risks, I just never understood the need to spend so much money on something that is basically killing you?

But we all got to go sometime right? Everyone has their own poison really. As long as you are happy with your life, I don't care what you do as long as you don't hurt other people in the process.

So then are you opposed to smoking in public? 2nd hand smoke can cause cancer just as 1st hand can.

I also dont give my money to big tobacco instead according to right wing extremists I help fund terrorism.........

I don't like it, but there isn't much to be done at the moment other than what has already been done. They have already banned public smoking from a number of places or have assigned smoking areas. Most of the time if I see someone smoking I just try to avoid them.

I dislike places that allow you to smoke right by the only entrance though and people that do it. I am the type of person who typically won't say anything though.

I agree with banning smoking in restaurants but you can expect smoking in a bar or pub so a ban there seems unreasonable.
