I have not anywhere said whether it is right or wrong... I was responding to:

Want proof they've used interstate commerce in the past to regulate guns?

    http://www.infoplease.com/cig/suprem...n-control.html

The revised school gun law included the requirement that the Government prove the firearms had moved in interstate commerce or “the possession of such firearm otherwise affects interstate or foreign commerce.” This requirement rarely hurts the government's case since the vast majority of firearms do move in interstate commerce before being purchased.
    (from the article)

Does this mean that if texas passes such laws...and I buy a gun made in texas, by texans, and for me, a texan...and can therefore prove it is NOT a part of interstate commerce, that I can carry it on any public school?
Does Texas have a law against carrying a gun on school grounds? Are there any local ordinances or regulations? Depends on all of those, the state and local laws would still apply, just not the fed ones.

You can be guaranteed, that the wheels are already turning with a response from the Feds. They will come up with some angle in which they can establish prior legal precedence that will nullify the state laws. Unfortunately, this is a losing battle. Until there's a real change in how the US Government operates, they're going to continue to shit on the constitution and states' rights. Our founding fathers are probably rolling over in their graves.

If it's a federal building (such as a public school or court house), it's illegal for any CHL holder to carry inside. You can, however, keep it locked up in your car on their premises.

He never said he had a CHL, nor did he say what type of school.

Utah is also working on the same law but a Stronger version. I hope Florida initiates the same law. Kel Tec is the only gun manufacturer in Florida at this point.
