The jokes that are written for these guys are always funny - Obama is a natural speaker, so his delivery will match the occasion. I can't help but get the feeling though that he is already campaigning for his next election...telling partisan jokes and digging on the previous administration...but whatever, I have a sense of humor...I particularly liked when he joked about "resting" on the 73rd day - like he is the Messiah.

The Wanda Sykes failure, calling Limbaugh the 20th highjacker - was just poor.

    1. I'm sure Rush appreciates the mention - validating his importance by joking about him will feed the ego.

    2. Invoking 9/11 to get a chuckle about a conservative commentator, that's just poor - calling him a terrorist? That sucked the air out of the room - Conservatives and Liberals alike were shocked.

He won the election fair and square.

Personally I thought it was a funny.

We are citizens of this great country and if we truly value the principle and idea of Freedom of Speech we can apperciate and tolerate most speech.

Also if we can't laugh at the ridiculious nature of people in the media, talkshows, and gov't then what kind of country have we become.

In regards to Rush he is asshole. Plain and simple.

Cheney is bigger asshole. He is just mad that now he finally realizes he no longer has an important role in gov't nor one in the future. Personally his career should have been over in the 80's but because of Bush 1.0 and Bush 2.0 it got extended point blank.

That concept is obviously a one way street that only allows tolerance for speech you agree with. If it were a two way street, we wouldn't be having this conversation about Rush Limbaugh would we now?

This whole situation is the result of what Limbaugh has to say, and the lefts failure to appreciate or tolerate it.

    Fail

Pick his views apart, document his statements and debunk them, whatever. Same deal as the president.

    Fail
Freedom of Speech doesn't mean one's words cannot be scrutinized or made fun of. Or even shouted down. Where is there an example of freedom of speech only being approached as a "concept"? Was Limbaugh arrested, was Wanda Sykes arrested? Then I would have to say that "Freedom of Speech" is more than just a "concept".

I would say the Fail lies within your attempt to portray this as Limbaugh not being "tolerated" or that his freedom of speech rights have been abridged somehow, by Wanda Sykes hoping he has kidney failure. (which was from one of her funnier lines) Or that anyone's freedom of speech has been hindered in any way as a result of any of the jokes being said.

I think it has been proven time and again how much of an asshole Rush Limbaugh is. I think you do yourself a disservice by trying to defend him against the "asshole" label.....

Tell that to Digital, not me. He's the one naval gazing about what type of country we have become.

Freedom of speech is 2 way road in my opinion. Do you see me running out a cardboard sign telling some Nazi to Stfu up. Nope I let tme say what they want to say and move on with life since I know what they are stating is one sided point of view and will not impact my life views and decisions.

    Plain and simple.

Also Rush is a recovering drug addict. You don't see anyone calling the hypocritic out.
