One of us should try to contact the developers and see if we can get one of them to register on the forums (L4D Developer Usergroup with a Dev would sell this place!) and take place in an "ask the devs" thread or event. I've seen this on multiple fan forums where the developers take the time to do this. Sometimes it's a planned event that happens on a certain date (and is advertised and the best questions selected and asked) and other times it's just an on going thread that the developer(s) will reply to when he/her has the time. I've seen both, some companies are fans of the fans.

We should toss off an email and inform the devs that we're a new forum built around L4D. We're looking for that boost to kick things into high gear and at the same time we could also drive some more attention to the game itself. We can add in the email our background with Gaming Forums, and basically add that such an event as a interview or "ask a dev" could really benefit both of us, but in the end bringing attention to the game which is our ultimate goal.

We just need to find the dev(s) that is a fan of the fans. They're out there!

I already emailed them. it's something like bizdev@turtlerockstudios.com to ask them if they would make mention of us on their news page on L4D.com. Heard nothing back just yet. I agree that it would be great to get someone like that over here as a lure for others. I'm sure it is something we're capable of driving once we have more regular members. Have you got a link in your signature on other forums?
