I've yet to see a SINGLE person here legitimately defend the spending programs in question, rather the messenger who brought the news here is being attacked.

These policies and this spending are indefensible - what's left for TTP's uninformed liberals to do? Of course - shoot the messenger.

those programs you listed are small potatoes compared to what I see dollar-wise wasted by the military every day.
I have gotten physically ill seeing it sometimes.

Literally, millions of dollars, are wasted regularly because of a GO or SES changes his mind on a whim. My favorite though was when they spent $2.1 million to save $500,000. Then when money is really needed for something that actually affects the mission, that is when they decide to be tightwads!

I half expected a comment like; "Where were you crying about wasteful spending the last 8 years when Bush did blah blah blah!?"

Granted, using the $100 Million budget cut thread as an example - these amounts arent even drops of drops of drops in the $3.5 Trillion budget - but we are suffering a death by a thousand cuts it would seem.
