    read the article....

this isn't the missing link between monkeys and humans...

it's the link between regular mammals (cats, dogs, rats) and mammals of higher function (monkeys, apes, and humans)

Well it's like that e-mail I read about humans evolving from apes. If humans evolved from apes then why are there still apes.

well, if you would actually learn about something instead of taking everything people tell you (and emails tell you) to heart you would know:

The way evolution works is environmental factors affect a small population of an organism, forcing them to evolve to handle the factors. It's not like everything around the world is feeling the same environmental stressors.

By your reasoning, why do people in africa have darker skin? latin countries brown skin, and european countries have light skin?
Simple....the climates in the different areas over many MANY years forced the pigmentation to evolve differently...

Evolution is not something that magically happens....it's something the environment brings out.

Right, which is how it happened for the pre-human apes...a small'ish population of them wandered into Lower Manhattan 63million years ago and they had to evolve to use all the computers, taxi cabs, elevators, and microwave ovens. bada-bing - you got humans.

Let's see, what other people tell me. Is that not where you get your information from what others have written/told you. I read books and watch shows just like anyone else. Doesn't mean I believe everything I read or hear. Just because someone with a degree makes a theory doesn't mean it's right.

And just because some pastor says that some mythological book is true, doesn't make it so.

By the way, that "someone with a degree" was Charles Darwin and his theory has withstood decades of scrutinization, and it has yet to be falsified, and is one of the cornerstones to modern science. Whereas there is no evidence that anything in your books are true.

Or like some folks you can believe that evolution might have been part of the plan all along and God/Goddess/Gods set it in motion. Evolution proves what happened, but not how/who/what started the whole shebang.

    Re: The missing link?

Well what you state and what I was replying to are two wholly different statements.
