if we killed Hitler, i think it then Russia likely would have taken the East/Scandinavia, Italy would have Southern Europe and UK/France would control the north, With Japan having Asia. Pearl Harbor probably would still happen and we would take Asia while Russia probably would either pair up with us to take the South or challenge us for Asia. If they too kthe South then they would probably run over the U.K. leading to a massive showdown between Russia and the U.S.

I only want to hold science to science's standards. The burden of proof in evolution is on the evolutionists who stand by scientific facts.
Deists, Christians, Native Americans, or anybody else who believes in a creation story believe that story based on faith in the unseen. Maybe we just like a good mystery - maybe our faiths are special to each of us - regardless of our origins - in any case, we dont require proof to believe.
The truth of the matter is, personally, I couldn't care less whether we evolved, or were dropped off by aliens or were created as humans 2000, 6000, or 20,000,000 years ago. It is irrelevant to my life.
Funny thing about Jesus - he never hurt anybody yet people are hatin' on him 2000 years later. Or maybe your problem isnt with God or Jesus - maybe your problem is with those who believe.
The interesting question - the real discussion at the heart of all of this, would be to delve into what happened to a younger Hawgballs that has made him so angry? So - willing and prone to fly off the handle on an internet forum about people of faith.
You aren't a scientist - you are a Marine, Futures Trader, aspiring restaurateur generally good dude - why all the hostility?
Did a priest touch your naughty place as a kid? Did an over-bearing aunt thump you with a bible in Jr. High? Was your great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandfather killed in the crusades? Who ever "rammed" anything down your throat? THAT is the interesting story here. What is your testimony?
Peace out - I hope I get to Chi-town for one of those sandwiches one of these days.

FYI:
A theory is a group of overarching concepts that form a model. A law is a specific mechanism, often just an equation or formula. So there never will be a law of evolution, as evolution is made up of many components... such as natural selection, which is based on Mendel's laws of inheritance and others.

What annoys me more is that people want children to learn about faith at such a young age, and to make sure they grow up as proper Christians etc.
Why force a child to make that choice so young? Let them choose for themselves when they're older.

Re: The missing link?
It isn't Jesus that I dislike, it is a good amount of his followers that I despise. Don't get me wrong, those are good stories in that book you carry, but they are just that, stories. It is just that alot of his followers insist on everyone adhering to those teachings and the past dozen or so years, it has been reflected in legislation or they tried to have those "teachings" legislated. I will post some more on this later tonight.

Re: The missing link?
A question for all the believers...since you regard the theory of evolution as just a theory, something with no proof thus open to scrutiny, do you apply that same logic to god? It's a fair question since no one can prove god exists with verifiable evidence. In other words, you say that the theory of evolution could be wrong since no one can prove it, does that apply to 'god' as well?
