    Re: The missing link?

if we killed Hitler, i think it then Russia likely would have taken the East/Scandinavia, Italy would have Southern Europe and UK/France would control the north, With Japan having Asia. Pearl Harbor probably would still happen and we would take Asia while Russia probably would either pair up with us to take the South or challenge us for Asia. If they too kthe South then they would probably run over the U.K. leading to a massive showdown between Russia and the U.S.

    IMO

You can prove that shit? Really? Can you provide any evidence at all of any of the things that I mentioned, other than it's in the bible so it has got to be true.

Oh and keep LOLz'ing as if your religion is connected with outright racism as late as the 1960's..... When Darwin, whose THEORY which has yet to be disproven, died in 1880's.

I'm not trying to disprove your faith, but when th likes of your faith try to push it onto everyone, as well as use your faith as evidence that all should adhere to your faith's principles then there is indeed something askew.

I find it funny that you don't demand proof of all of the myths in your book, yet you demand 100% proof positive that we as a species evolved from another species of mammal. I mean it isn't enough that you basically see thing evolving right in front of your eyes, yet you deride the possibility that evolution is a theory holds water completely. But you have yet asked anyone, even in our highly technological world if there is a possibility of turning water into wine, or if someone can instantly turn into a pillar of salt, or if there is any historical evidence or even a remote possiblity of lepers becoming healed instantly.

Now who is the hypocrite my friend?

Wow, after re-reading all of that,..........it was quite a rant. All relevant, but a rant nonetheless.
yeah, some rant - almost too much to respond to in any cogent order.

If there was proof, nobody would need faith - in God, Buddha, Vishnu, Jesus, or Darwin - My challenge to Darwinists is simply this...if Darwin is proven science, and science is based on fact and discovery, then why isnt it Darwin's Law of Evolution yet? I only want to hold science to science's standards. The burden of proof in evolution is on the evolutionists who stand by scientific facts.

Deists, Christians, Native Americans, or anybody else who believes in a creation story believe that story based on faith in the unseen. Maybe we just like a good mystery - maybe our faiths are special to each of us - regardless of our origins - in any case, we dont require proof to believe.

The truth of the matter is, personally, I couldn't care less whether we evolved, or were dropped off by aliens or were created as humans 2000, 6000, or 20,000,000 years ago. It is irrelevant to my life.

Funny thing about Jesus - he never hurt anybody yet people are hatin' on him 2000 years later. Or maybe your problem isnt with God or Jesus - maybe your problem is with those who believe.

The interesting question - the real discussion at the heart of all of this, would be to delve into what happened to a younger Hawgballs that has made him so angry? So - willing and prone to fly off the handle on an internet forum about people of faith.

You aren't a scientist - you are a Marine, Futures Trader, aspiring restaurateur generally good dude - why all the hostility?

Did a priest touch your naughty place as a kid? Did an over-bearing aunt thump you with a bible in Jr. High? Was your great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, great, grandfather killed in the crusades? Who ever "rammed" anything down your throat? THAT is the interesting story here. What is your testimony?

Peace out - I hope I get to Chi-town for one of those sandwiches one of these days.

    FYI:

A theory is a group of overarching concepts that form a model. A law is a specific mechanism, often just an equation or formula. So there never will be a law of evolution, as evolution is made up of many components... such as natural selection, which is based on Mendel's laws of inheritance and others.

For the record, I don't hate mythical people.

I do think people who believe in mythical people are slightly less intelligent than another average person on the whole, but that's their choice and I fully respect that. Faith isn't a bad thing as such, it's the extremes people go too.

What annoys me more is that people want children to learn about faith at such a young age, and to make sure they grow up as proper Christians etc.

Why force a child to make that choice so young? Let them choose for themselves when they're older.

That's fine - and I agree to an extent, but why puff up your chest about it on a gaming forum where that hasn't even been discussed yet?

Is the indoctrination of kids the issue? Then go find people who are brainwashing their kids and yell at them - dont waste our time here, lol.

No, bada-bing, you have New Yorkers. Different species, and definitely not human. :P

It isn't Jesus that I dislike, it is a good amount of his followers that I despise. Don't get me wrong, those are good stories in that book you carry, but they are just that, stories. It is just that alot of his followers insist on everyone adhering to those teachings and the past dozen or so years, it has been reflected in legislation or they tried to have those "teachings" legislated. I will post some more on this later tonight.

I don't have a problem with those who believe, I have a problem with those who use the word of God to spread hate and misinformation.

Well know this - 99% of true Christians agree with you.

And most right-thinking Christians agree with Hawgballs.

You can't legislate morality but many insist on trying - mostly out of insecurity.

    Re: The missing link?

A question for all the believers...since you regard the theory of evolution as just a theory, something with no proof thus open to scrutiny, do you apply that same logic to god? It's a fair question since no one can prove god exists with verifiable evidence. In other words, you say that the theory of evolution could be wrong since no one can prove it, does that apply to 'god' as well?
