I delete mine whenever I think of it, but generally it's a good idea to keep business material around for a few weeks. Just in case it comes up.

that is my one beef with the PM system here, you can't really flag it for follow up later. Once you go to your inbox, whether your read the message or not, it takes the flag away that you have new messages.

Email notification+Outlook will do that

I have my PM/TTP notifications filtered to another folder. All of my work emails get filtered to something just for them as well, and the same goes for my research.

i have two accounts, i spend my day pm'ing to each of them just for threads like these, 6,344 to one, and 6,345 to the other one.
