Thread: Head Chef needed in Battle Creek, MI

My long time chef informed me yesterday that he has gotten a job at the new casino in town and gave me his notice. We therefore are looking for an experienced chef/kitchen manager who is either near Battle Creek or willing to relocate. The duties will include managing all kitchen personnel, ordering all food, establishing and maintaining procedures for food prep and safe handling, and line cooking. We expect our head cooks to not only be strong in the administrative side of the kitchen, but to have the ability to facilitate through their actions and management the movement of food out of our kitchen rapidly. Strong background in control of food/labor cost and recipe development a must.

This is a salaried position and like any position of it's kind may demand long hours. If you have previously applied, and perhaps interviewed for other positions at our restaurant please apply again and let us know. We are replacing our head chef in the next 2 weeks.

I realize it's unlikely anyone here is in Michigan and looking for this particular job, but wanted to give anyone on TTP first crack. Your pay will be in the $550+ per week range and can increase very rapidly if you can perform.
