D-Day

D-Day, a day like no other, where 156,000 troops of our allied countries stormed the beaches of normandy, to end the inhumanity and put down the man who was doing it. June 6th, 1944 the Americans landed around 73,000 men, scattered throughout the 5 beaches of normandy, Gold Beach, Utah Beach, Sword Beach, Juno Beach, and Omaha Beach. Today, 65 years ago, young, fickle men and their strong courageous leaders were sitting in the transport boats, waiting....waiting...waiting... the sound of bullets whizzing by their heads, the distinct and disorienting sound of mortar shells hitting near their rafts, the constant screaming of people getting hit, 30 SECONDS! Would be called, as the men shook, cried, Gathered their feeling and stormed the beaches, to find no cover but the tank traps that have been placed by the Germans, together, they stormed the beaches, they stormed for honor, for integrity, for bravery, FOR FREEDOM

Today, on June 6th, 65 years after the horrific battle, we still honor those who served, to make freedom possible for this country, and once and for all end the inhumane terror of Adolf Hitler.

God Bless America, and God Bless our Troops, As well as the Allied forces that fought side by side with us, to ensure the safety of their country too.

I wanted to go put flowers on my grandfathers' graves but...I didn't know where to go or how to get there. I still should go, they deserve that honor.
