Thread: Summer School? REALLY!!??

So I have to go to fuckin summer school. They say its not summer school though. For the next 3 weeks, I have to go to school Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8-12pm. To "make up credits". I have had 12 absences this whole year. Our school says that "If you attend 90% of the school days, you are granted your credits." 12 absences leaves me at 94.5% attendance. But yet, I have to go to summer school for no fuckin reason. Its bullshit. They said that "If you have over 9 absences, you have to make up that time." "I have 12, BUT IVE BEEN AT SCHOOL FOR MORE THAN 90% OF THE TIME. SO WHY THE FUCK DO I HAVE TO GO!?!? It says it in your rules that if I spend 90% of school days at school, then I'm fine and I get my credits." Its bullshit.

The main reason why I'm mad is because I was leaving next week to go visit my Dad up in Wisconsin for 2 months, but now I can't cause of this bullshit. So now? I only get to go up there for a month. Its fuckin bullshit and theres no point in going...

I have a fuckin 3.5 GPA with all A's and 1 B. So why do I have to waste my time for 4 hours doing nothing? Why would I go to school at 7pm for no reason!!??

Sorry. I just had to vent...

Go in and further bust some heads. Go by the book, and show you've earned your credits by written requirements. Use your GPA and your semester's grades, use your plans with your father, etc. Combination of good student, pity party, printed stuffs, and a level of verbal argument talents may snag you a free pass

Not to mention, maybe you can scam on some chics while your in there.

well I kinda care about my future. Im trying to get into Law school so I better just abide by the rules and do what they say. as much as I dont want to, its better for my future.

Yeah. I just talked to them and they said they don't do any work. Just sit there for 4 hours. They told me to bring a book or something. So its not gunna be that bad.

But I still dont get to see my Dad as long as I was hoping.

That is some bullshit right there. You obviously know your shit, yet they feel the need to make you go to class for no reason, other than to encourage the stupid laws with time required in the classroom. That is the best thing about university, if you think your lecture is going to be a waste of time and you don't want to go, you can do something else instead. There were many times I would skip a Calculus lecture because I could learn it on my own anyway and study for the Algebra mid-term.

In the future use the little home notes and doctor notes to the fullest of your extents. I missed school simply because I could (I made good grades not as good as you) and the schools policy was about the same. The catch was if you had notes from home you could miss up to 15 days per half a school year and anything past 15 you would have to bring doctor notes only. So I just got my parents to write me notes every day I needed a break and if I actually managed to get sick I just saw the doctor regardless.

Loopholes are your friend, I've most likely gone to school at least a half of a year than most people on using moving as an excuse alone.
