Conceptually this is huge.

At the end of to BOB series, I sat wishing they would do this. I guess the door was left open to it, but didn't figure it would happen.

Such a quality series. I hope they do it proper.

The people are older now, so they would have some difficulty doing it, but let's see what they turn out.

I am hoping I get it on Blu-Ray for X-mas...Best WW2 series/movie/drama produced to date.

Nope, I didn't have HBO when they originally came out and I hate 'catching' shows when they get shown elsewhere or if I can't watch them in order (which is why I need to buy Battlestar: Galactica since it is done). I have the full set on DVD, might start watching them today.

Btw, says in the credits below that this won't happen till 2010. John Basilone was awesome in reality, so I hope they don't fuck this up.

Friend of mine has Netflix. He just gets the shows one season at a time. He is currently catching up on the last 3 seasons of NCIS

Agreed.

The one thing that worries me after watching that trailer is that they seem to be taking the route of glorifying the War in the Pacific a bit much. It was a brutal, inhuman war on both sides and I hope that they reflect that in the miniseries.
