What I see the is that they are trying to make a week out of the year to show people that we have a religious background and if you want to participate in it. You are more than welcome. I don't see them making everyone go to church and pray for a week. Thus, we should also get rid of Black History Month.

And I was just asking. Because I could actually picture someone saying "Oh thank Science." But I chuckle and think of the South Park Episode.

It does more than designate a week for remembering our spiritual (and the examples are only christian) heritage.

I think that religious folks will always remember their religions history as far back as their particular interpretation has recorded. I also think that even the scientists and academics would never try to omit the religious observances of history from education. In all the history classes I have taken, I have seen plenty of religion (and not just christian) by many important people throughout the formation of America.

But this is a first step to creating precedence to keep religious artifcacts in government buildings. Which I am not OK with. Keep 'em separated. Put your religious artifacts in your church, not my courthouse.

Further,

Basically says "recognize that religion (christianity) is inseparable from government." there is nothing harmless about this resolution. It is a bold infringement on the first amendment.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion".
