I think if I saw my neighbors jumping out of windows 50+ stories off the ground I would hear wacked out crap too. Yes, anything is possible, but when you play the who knew what domino game there would have to be so many people on the take that it just defies plausibility.

Engineers, architects and firefighters who were under incredible emotional/physical/mental stress from having to deal, face to face, with the worst disaster they could ever have imagined. I'm sure they heard and saw some pretty wacked out shit, the human brain likes to interpret things in whatever way causes the least emotional trauma. It's how humans cope with horrific events.
