anyone going to try to watch/listen to it? I want to but apparently its on ESPN, which i don't get
, hopefully can pick it up via the internet somewhere. Granted i have no idea why Fox is showing the game but not the derby.
ANYWAYS, who is your favorite to win it? The contestants are
Carlos Pena-Tampa Bay
24 HR, 187 Career
Brandon Inge-Detroit
19 HR, 115 Career
Nelson Cruz-Texas
21 HR, 43 Career
Joe Mauer-Minnesota
15 HR, 59 Career
Albert Pujols-St. Louis
32 HR, 351 Career
Adrian Gonzalez-San Diego
24 HR, 121 Career
Prince Fielder-Milwaukee
22 HR, 136 Career
Ryan Howard-Philadelphia
22 HR, 199 Career
My pick i think i'm going to go against the smart pick and take A-Gon, he's got a good bat and playing in Petco easily reduces the amount he hits. I think he could have a chance to take it, unlikely but still.
As for who i'd root for, it will probably be Inge or Cruz. Cruz due to being it his big breakout year, and Inge because, well he's doing good for my fantasy teams(yea i'm that pathetic)

Re: 2009 MLB Home Run Derby
I went for Pujols. My Dad went for Fielder (being that hes from and lives in Wisconsin).
He talked his trash before it started saying, "Fielder is gunna win! Im tellin ya!"
I didnt believe him. I told him that if Fielder wins, I will do his chores until the day I go back to Texas (August 7th).
Of course... Fielder wins.
jk. Fielder is a beast. /respect
