Re: Favre turns down Vikings
Favre is great... he's still better than half the QB's in the league. But... he's definitely lost a lot of polish. And now he should probably stay in retirement. He'll never want for money, so why prolong it?

You're $10 worth of confident?
Saints will have a better record than Houston this year, and their defense will surprise a lot of people.

The man is gunshy, if he throws 1 just 1 pick, then the game is over for him and there is no coming back for him. That one pick blows his confidence, he starts second guessing the routes and the plays and is afraid to throw the ball which leads to all of the following: loss of yards due to a sack, fumbles, picks and bad decisions. Its kind of hard for Mr. Peterson to do his thing if hes facing a 2 and 20, or 3 and 25, with the defense knowing they arent gonna throw the ball. If you havent noticed AP dont do too hot when there is 8 or 9 in the box, something the defense can do when they know the QB has no confidence. And its not like this is subtle or anything, its blatantly obvious. BUT on a good note, prior to that 1 pick, hes a solid QB who looks like he has been around the block a couple times. Im not saying Favre would be the second coming or anything, but he would have been better than T Jack......
