..... and you have to learn a new programming language that you don't know jack about anyway (Adobe Flex)
..... the instructor expects this to be well documented like a real project manger would do
..... the client expects a working application, your group is having major technical issues while learning at the same time
..... you have a full time job already and the instructor expects at least 25 documented hours/week
..... you still need to create users manuals, tech users manuals, power point slides, etc
..... you're under a week left and things look rather doubtful
..... you only have an 86 average going in and the project is 60% of your grade
..... you only have 7 DAYS LEFT
As long as i get a C (so I don't have to repeat this class) I don't care, let me off this freakin hamster wheel

You need at least 59.4% on this project to pass with a C (assuming your 86 average is everything else in the course).
You can do it laggy, we believe in you (maybe not Hub, but still). Get all those easy bits done first, then work on the hard stuff.

Charter system for airline flights that is currently done entirely on paper. We're making a database out of it and it is being treated as a project management exercise as well meaning documentation in and out the ying yang.
The language is Adobe Flex, using MySQL as well since we are unable to use Microsoft SQL due to limitation on the client's side. 3 of the 5 of us didn't even know that Adobe Flex existed before this project started. Not sure why/how we decided to use this instead of .NET.
12 week course shortened to 8 weeks with no slack cut for it being a summer session. The school work ended 3 weeks ago, its entirely project now.
I am NOT a developer, but I appreciate them a bit more now. I think it also explains their quirkiness as well.

Lol, I remember this story my dad told me about a project when he was going to TSU in San Marcos. They were supposed to come up with a business plan for a large corporation. Teacher gave them a lower grade because they were too convincing and would run the business into the ground because of it. :P He says he did it in only a few nights too.

Shit, isn't that the real world though??
Boss: "Even though you work 50 hours a week I also want you to learn this new system launguage, still get your job done, and you have 7 days to complete it."
Employee: "But...."
Boss: "Not buts, do it or there are 30 others to fill your spot!"
Employee: grumble grumble "Yes douche bag....SIR!"
I go through the same shit with this on-line schooling.
You will do it..... Seven days left.... wing it!

5 hours later, remember....... case matters
so tired it hurts. 6 days left. I am getting moved to more documentation (i.e. users manuals, updating timelines, deliverables descriptions, etc) while those geekier than I am go further down the rabbit hole with their coding.
Still amazed that this 3 credit hour course is consuming 20-40 hours/week. So glad I decided to take this over the summer so I wouldn't have to split my time trying to take 2 other classes in conjunction.
