I really really really really hate when that happens because when it happens i usually just typed like a page worth of stuff and then i have to go take like a 4 hour break because i get so pissed...

It was not ctrl-Z. I am a developer and know what ctrl-z and ctrl-y both do.. Trust me. I have had this issue with IE8 before. IE8 sucks. I use it since I almost exclusively do all my development for IE.

then go with firefox its less shiny
peronally firefox is faster and I guess I must have disabled that because I've never had the whole "..when you type a message and IE backspace key DELETES it all" thing happen to me.
