    okie dokie

Who cares about small bands. They suck. That's why they are small.
Untrue, there are PLENTY of bands that haven't hit it big, but are still fantastic band. 2 of my friends started up a Christian band, and considering there are only 2 people in, and don't have any true recording abilities, they are good.

    Everyone starts out small.
    Bust,

So you are voting yea for pay to play? You have faith that your Christian band buddies will draw paying advertisers? Enough to pay salaries for the station employees and cover the risk of station owners?

I call bullshit. I wouldn't listen to Christian shit if the radio station payed me.
Yes I am voting yea. Chances are likely they won't be draw enough money for that. I never said they would, my argument was against you saying small bands suck. I'm not a Christian and I don't believe in what they are singing about, but still, it's good music, regardless of the meaning of the lyrics.

Aren't you supposed to be playing the part of a politician? Since when do they say this?

I call bullshit. I wouldn't listen to Christian shit if the radio station payed me.

Presently radio stations can play songs that are released as singles. They can not pick and choose songs from an album. That's why most people don't know great gems like Kid Rock's "Where You At Rock?" Gems like that are reserved for the people that buy the complete album. You will never hear it on the radio - ever.
So radio stations can be charged with copyright infringement if they simply pay the $.99 pricetag on non-single songs? They paid for it, and arent redistributing it. They dont just want to have their cake and eat it too..they want the fucking pie, ice cream, pot roast, and the damn tuna noodle casserole. That last part is off the record.

    What?

I'm biased against the stuff and will tune past it on the radio. I'm a customer. Are some capitalist bible fucks going to tell me that I'm a bad customer? That would be ironic.

You are entitled to your personal opinion about certain genres of music, but in these chambers we try to maintain objectivity and focus on the issue at hand, sir.

Define rich? Rich to you may be, 1 mil, 10 mil? Rich to an extreme lower class citizen at or below the poverty line is prolly a $30k a year job. Should we just go ahead and deny you your tax return this year sir, since you are already rich enough in some people's eyes?

If you are that biased on the matter, then perhaps you should recuse yourself from this vote, politician motoz. 8)

I call for a resolution to strike the rules on objectivity and to allow thread jacking provided the proper paperwork is filed

You are in advanced territory. The $.99 stuff is a digital audio recording. That's not the same as a sound recording or a live recording. Sorry. Here is the section of copyright code that deals with $.99 stuff. That's extra credit but doesn't apply here.

We are talking about old-fashioned radio broadcasts of sound recordings that are released as singles. When I say singles think of old 45 RPM records.
