    Ah Nostalgia

So, I'm ripping a shit ton of CDs today to fill up the rotation for the new automation software my station should be getting in the next few days, and I come across Chariots of Fire by Vangelis. Good stuff...

Judging by that mix there is probably a copy of Allanah Miles' Black Velvet floating around in there. :6

It's a collection called The A List, which my station got as we began phasing off of vinyl. It's a collection of pretty much the best (in terms of charts) songs from 1978 on. Good stuff. Lots of Fleetwood MAC and the like to boot.

It looks like I was able to rip enough to start breaking into 1983 today.

You mean, somebody else remembers that velvet album duster with the wooden handle and always having a box of spare turntable needles laying around?

    All too well my man..........

I tried my hat at DJ'ing in high school, had a set of technics 1200's and I beleiev some sort of pyramid mixer. 18 years later I stop at my sisters house, and see that my nephew is attempting to "spin" only to see that his set-up is a couple of CD type turntables and something for MP3s........

*shakes head in dumbfounding confusion mixed with utter amazement*
