Michael Vick back in the NFL?

The option will NEVER work in the NFL as a primary offense. It works in college because LBs run 5+ second 40s on most teams while the QB is in the low to mid 4s. In the NFL most LBs are just as fast as the QBs running the option, and like to try to kill them when they can.

Troof. Run first QBs all get broken in the NFL. Scramblers are different (see: John Elway, Steve Young, Randal Cunningham), they run as a last resort, and will usually slide when a hit is obvious. They will sell out on the goal line dives occasionally, but they try to live to fight another day. Runners (see Michael Vick, young Donovan Mcnabb, various QBs that got converted to receivers) think they can juke everyone out of their jock, and eventually get snot-bubbled and forced to the sideline for 4 weeks to a season. Running backs have the shortest careers of any position, why would a QB think he can sustain that kind of punishment. Is Vick exciting? Yes. Is Vick a quarterback? IMO, no. Ill take a 60-65% completion percentage over 100 rushing yards from my QB every day of the week.

He's bad publicity... I wouldn't want him to be on any team I supported.

The cowboys should take him.

Okay so why would the Fins take a shot at Vick?

Pennington set personal records last year and finished 2nd in the League MVP voting I believe.
Herne their back up seems to be doing very well and getting praise in training camp (no shot at taking starting job tho)
White was just drafted this year as a Wild Cat specialist.

Seems to me they are pretty well set in their QB position. Has someone heard something about White that I missed? I CAN see Vick as a Wild Cat quaterback. 2 or 3 plays a game.

The Dolphins made it clear Tuesday they have no interest in pursuing quarterback Michael Vick, who is looking for employment after his conditional reinstatement by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell a day earlier.

"We don't have an interest," General Manager Jeff Ireland said in a statement. "We like the players we have on our current roster."
