possible virus/spywhere popup on ttp

i'm not sure if this is the right forum or not but i think it's important..

i was just trying to get to a thread to reply to when suddenly i got a popup saying my computer may be at risk... it was one of those ones that are meant to look like a real notification. i tried to just x-out but instead it redirected me to something called "virus doctor" or something and started to do a fake scan. i ctrl+alt+deleted to close firefox but when i started it up again it was doing the same thing.

i know there was a virus that got downloaded this way but i can't remember the name of it. i'm also not sure if this is ttp related but it happend to me when i clicked something on ttp

I got the same thing. I found nothing significant so I moved on. By the way, I donwloaded nothing and did not run anything from that site

I had the same type of pop-up, but it did let me close the window and no problems after that.

fucking ads...

make sure you keep this stuff in the "bad ads" sticky in the issues forum.

and ALWAYS get a screenshot, so we know which ad is still lingering, or if this is a new one.
