Been seeing coverage as I pass back and forth while painting my bathroom upstairs.

I guess these folks will be written off en mass, and thats fine, comforting even.

Where has the build up been for this? I heard the guy on the MSNBC show saying that news networks and personalities are pushing this thing, but I haven't heard a word about it. Its probably been out there, but I was surprised when they started covering it today.

If only Americans weren't dumb, they wouldn't be out there protesting and would just follow the president like good citizens.

What I don't understand is, what does 9/12 have anything to do with this HCR? More politicization of Sept 11 maybe?

The same amount of people showed up in Grant Park on election night to celebrate BO victory. So what if a bunch of people, who would never like anything that Obama does, marched Freedomworks, The ACU and the rest of the right wing establishment's marching orders?

Iraq War protests had more people and were sponsored by grassroots organizations, not health insurance-funded groups like these, and didn't have their own TV channel to advertise one. But have you seen some of the signs people are holding up? Those tea baggers have be some of the dumbest people I have ever seen. I mean they take stupid to a new low. These whacko's would know a real communist or marxist if one kicked them in the ass. Bill Maher was right when he said America is a dumb country.

These protests are being organized through things like Twitter (ugh) and Facebook, it's faster but not as reliable...they used them for the original TeaBag protest, so their sticking with what works. Same as the opposition is using the same forums to plan theirs...

I recommend ignoring them they'll go away soon enough, if that's what you truly believe why bother posting. This should be of no interest to you at all. I simply started a topic that is of interest to a few whacko's and nutball's as were called and for the record I've never voted a straight ticket in my life, I give my vote to whom I think will do the best job regardless of party.

The only thing that interests me is some of the stupidity exhibited by some of those people. I have no doubt that there are honest people there that don't like what they are seeing, and that's fine. But things like this really tends to draw out the whacko's. The birthers, deathers, people calling Obama a communist or socialist, etc. I'm not trying to generalize, although I do know I am guilty of it at times, I am just referring to those types of people.
