bust..you're 17..so think back to when you were 15. Think you've changed/grown at all? I agree at your age you're capable of making many of your own decisions. Also realize that in another 2-3 years you'll be able to look back again..and again and again...

Everyone matures at different times, I know guys in their 20's that shouldn't be allowed to handle anything, and I know teenagers who have a better grasp of who they are than I do. We have to have averages to protect as many people as possible. In the US we use 18.

GRanted this is the UK, and their age of consent might be lower, but had it happened here, teacher or not, it'd be statutory rape. The fact that this lady was in a position of authority, adds to it's wrongness. Some will say at that age you know not to do stuff simply because of what an authority figure says, and I'd say some do, and some do not.

Either way, play by the rules, or suffer the consequences.

Made the choice to be gay? That is an absolutely ignorant statement. Sorry, you may believe it is a choice but by doing so you choose to ignore what empirical data points to. Im not quite sure what rubs me the wrong way about this. I cant help but feel your statement is bias. Your relying on outside observations to make claims and speculations on a case that clearly requires individual and inside observations. If your going to point to data then, is the source of Sexual orientation is still unknown and subsequently inaccurate to claim development to have any impact on Sexual orientation. Furthermore with no accurate statements from the girl, your speculations have no basis other then lump percentages based off what i can only imagine to be unreliable tests (unless you can think of a good method to gather the sexual orientation of 15 year olds). With out any insight to the girl its just as likely that she was one of the "few" from your data that wasnt confused about her sexuality? Not to mention that acception doesn't equate to true, long enough ago, it was accepted that the world was flat.
