mp3's
My mp3 is taking a shit little by little. So i have a casio boulder phone which is an mp3 player as well. So i figure save a few bucks and put some music on the card for the phone seeing as it's a 4 gig card. Sounds like a good theory until you try to put music on it. Windows since it's lastest update will not let me put music on it saying it is copyrighted.
Fucking bullshit i bought the damn cd's it's my god damn phone and card. To say i'm a little irritated would be putting it lightly. I tried moving tracks from mp3 to card to no avail. I don't have any cd's with me or i would try copying from the cd to the card. Any one have a way around this bullshit?

Re: mp3's
take the card outta the phone and put it in a USB adapter.
if windows things you're just moving it to another drive (or USB flash drive) and not a media player, it might allow it...
another way:
d/l Knoppix live CD. It's a flavor of linux that you download the *.iso file, burn it to a CD, and boot your machine off of the CD.
The entire operating system runs off of the CD, has many MANY drivers to use peripherals and such, and generally is just a great way to play around with linux without the trouble of setting up a dual boot or w/e.
best part? totally free.

Re: mp3's
Just wanted to add, my work PC (the very one I am posting on) isn't on our network, it is on a 2nd "Guest" network for patients of the Hospital. I download MP3s on it from time to time as well as it is my jukebox it is the PC I play my MP3s on which I carry to and from home via the memory chip in my blackberry and I am not having the same issues you are.
I am running vista 32 bit, I am not sure how much of your issue is purely Vista's fault.
I do use AlSong (same people that make AlZip http://www.altools.com/) not WMP to listen to them tho... however sounds like you issue is with moving the files not listening to them.
