Thread: I'm not generally paranoid, but this was pretty surprising (The Obama Youth!)

I know, I know...easy to dismiss as 1 bad teacher at 1 bad school...but still, what do you think about this?

There are various news videos about, but this is the raw tape without the CNN or FoxNews spin.

Kids being taught "Hello Mr. President, we honor you today, for all your great accomplishments,for you we say hooray, hooray Mr. President, you are number 1, etc etc, and all you do is great, etc etc."

So much for public schools producing free thinkers?

I'm at a loss for words...

Can't get the video to work, but if this is a teacher encouraging children to praise the president no matter what... well that's bad, but sort of has its heart in the right place in a messed up way.

Ok, I got the video to work. That was fucked up.

What's maybe worse is one I saw of a teacher BEFORE the election asking all her kids who they would vote for and grilling them with tough questions and trying to make them feel stupid if they chose the "wrong" one.

Yet another bunch of kids getting an indoctrination instead of an education.

This was filmed around June 19, 2009 at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington, NJ.
