Federal law: Ban of all flavored cigerettes and more

So a friend on facebook mentioned how she could no longer buy her favorite clove flavored cigarettes because they were outlawed. Incredulous, I decided to do some digging and found out that they are indeed banned. The Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act became law on June 11, 2009.

I personally do not like smoking but I feel as though this ban is such a travesty as it tramples over individual's rights. I honestly prefer clove flavored stuff than regular cigarettes.

Now I have a hookah, is the flavored kind that contains tobacco banned? Some doesnt have tobacco wonder when they will ban that.

Exactly toker. If anything, they are healthier (and I use that term loosely) for you than regular cigerettes because they do not have many of the harmful chemicals that regular cigerettes have.

Arnt the flavored cigarettes generaly a gateway smoke to being addicted? I always thought that the flavored ones were generaly used because younger people disliked the flavor of cigs.

Prohibits a cigarette or any of its components from containing as a constituent or additive any artificial or natural flavor (other than tobacco or menthol) or any herb or spice (including strawberry, grape, orange, clove, cinnamon, and vanilla) that is a characterizing flavor of the tobacco product or tobacco smoke.

This is one step away from banning hookah tobacco.
