I know I started it..but now the sushi thread made me hungry..and this one's makes me want to go find a nice smelling guy....grrrr..

for the record, i like cologne..but even the right deodorant on a guy can make all the difference

even Julius Caesar had every hair on his body removed regularly by his slaves..to keep him young-looking and attractive to the ladies...

mhmm, i thought they did all that because it was "proper", not necessarily to attract women? i don't know though. either way, i don't believe either sex should have power/leverage over the other. another thing i hate is the formality/tradition involved with romance/dating. who pays for dinner? who makes plans? flowers/wine/dinner. it's all bullshit. i would never take a girl out who expects me to pay for dinner. i've been with girls who have refused when i offered to pay. now there is nothing more sexy than that (well, maybe)! now thats real equality between genders.

I agree wholeheartedly with you Persian...but each sex does have power/leverage over the other..and not using it gets you walked on. I've paid for more than half of the first dates I've ever gone out on...scratch that...more like 80%...and I think folks should be fairly honest with each other..

Just don't have a double standard about it...don't be a mooch...and don't expect her to go out of her way for you..if you won't. However, I think doing the little things to entice the other person show you care..and you're attracted to them and you're not complacently taking advantage of them...brush your teeth, smell nice, don't belch and then try to kiss her...you know..the little things.
