My cat is getting put down

This friday.

I hate to admit it, but I really can't stop crying.

My cat has grown up with me since I was born. She is currently will be 20 this december. At this point she can't use her hind legs, her kidneys are failing, she has Alzheimers, she is barely eating, the list goes on and on...

I knew it was going to happen soon, but even when I knew it, it still is a shock. It's moments like these where I wish I could have spent more time with her...

this is not going to be a good week for me.

My kitty went 19 years.....she was a good cat. I know how you feel,but you will get over it. Kitty would want you to move on. R.I.P. Bust's kitty.

Quality of life... They hit a certain point in their lives that you have to say good bye..
Not saying it makes it easier...
It's the weeks following that will be so tough!

That sucks. I remember when my old dog died at age 13. Very sad times.

A lot of these I could only take while she was asleep, she moved around too much to get a still pic.

Sorry to hear about your cat but in the long run I think it's her time. I hope you keep her in your heart forever.

Yeah, sucks to have a pet put down...but think of it in the positive, they are better off, it is torture for them to have to live with those kinds of problems, and any medications really just postpone it making longer pain for the animal, just better in the end.

My dads black lab named Jackie (nicknamed "dumbass") got put down about a month ago, her back had frozen up and she couldn't get up the front steps anymore.

I was in a similar situation when I was 12 and my cat was 19. I was crushed for weeks.

I remember when we had to put the cat my brother and I grew up with. It was hard and quite upsetting.
