Thread: The greaat Sushi Eat off!

Ok, so we have Syrringe, Vafa, Texan and I that have said they could compete, is there anyplace or time that is reasonable for all of us in the way of time and distance that we could meet and settle who the master is?

I have never had sushi, but I am always up for competition. Few shots, get me buzzed and I can eat like crazy, when I'm drunk I eat all kinds of crap I normally wont touch.

San Antonio, Give me a weekend and enough time notice in advance and I could drive down to Houston no problem. Or somewhere in between....hmmmm, would there be in really good sushi places between San Antonio, Austin, and Houston? I know of plenty of really good BBQ places, but nothing in the way of sushi.

Some RULES need to be applied though... I mean all sushi is not equal...

There's white belt sushi and there's black belt sushi. So you can't have one person eating say... a california roll (maki) and one person eating fugu sashimi...

Start off small... everyone gets a maki roll or two... and moves to more exotic maki like unagi and tomago... Then move to nigiri... and finally sashimi and the more exotic forms of it.

There are other forms of course... the cones... the pressed sushi... the fermented stuff... but those are the most common.

Damn I'd love to do this. I'd win by DOUBLE.
