Extra Cash
Need extra money for Christmas shopping, well here is an idea that most people don't think about.
Do you have a car payment? If yes, did you know that some credit services will allow a payment deferment?
Yes, it will extend your contract by 1 month, but it might help free up some cash during the Holiday season, especially if you have a $400-$500 payment.
Some credit services may not offer this, but I know VW credit and Chrysler Financial are a couple that do if you qualify.
Anyway, just a suggestion for some extra holiday money.

Yes, but most people have a car payment and most people use credit cards instead of cash for their shopping. Charge $500 on your credit card for Christmas and I guarantee you most people will extend that payoff for 6 months if not longer and paying interest along the way. I am no financial advisor, but as nice as "don't go into debt sounds", most Americans are and atleast this way keeps it off credit cards.

only reason im in "debt" is because i need to build my credit since im only 118, lol....i was gonna pay my truck off on site, but my dad advised otherwise that way i start with a solid credit history on my record rather than messing up when i really need credit in the future.
only 40 payments to go on my truck :P, even though it'll be paid off in full this upcoming march...1 year of making payments on time is enough for creditors to see im good IMO.

I usually run about $1200-1500 on Credit Cards during the holidays just for Christmas presents for my family and friends and have it all paid off by the end of January.
Shit... just having family down for the holidays is expensive. Last year I spent $550 taking my family out to dinner, paid $360 for my Brother to fly from New Hampshire to Tampa, all of the Christmas presents, Christmas tree, and then the christmas presents... so there are reasons we go into debt during christmas.
Luckily this year it is my Dad's turn to pay for the family dinner.
