I didn't know the history, but I've done this.

I've folded up the collar on a polo for sun protection. I've also done it for humour and/or douche-projection - but in this life the Good Lord grants a man precious few times that he can wear a collar ironically. It's like a gun barrel that loses accuracy with use. You can shoot at irony through a collar about 3 times before the collar (made of cloth, not steel) will only hit douche.

I've folded up other collars; vs sun, or rain, or snow, or icy wind.

Last week I was in Mexico. One afternoon I folded up the collar of my silk/linen blend dress shirt against the sun.

No red-neck I.

Ok im going to let you know exactly how I saw this whole situation play out. Anyone who doesn't want to deal with this can shut their trappers.

I posted a photo of me and my friends. The next 2-3 posts are in a negative tone towards my photo in my opinion. (I cant determine some of your intentions through text. This pertains especially to people I've had tiffs with in the past ie DG.) Imo people actually assumed that my friends and I wear popped collars...lol. This is when I felt the need to re-post and clarify that we were "drunken fools" and it was a joke.

I did not feel that people were laughing with me when I first posted...I felt they were laughing at me. And when the subject is a photo of myself and my close friends, Im going to take it personally. So ya back off.

cant take the heat then get out of the kitchen...... you post a photo you admit was y'all looking stupid , people saw a photo of people looking stupid and commented and now your butt hurt, because people said you look stupid in a photo you posted of y'all intentionally looking stupid.....The fuck?

I cant speek for everyone but what i noticed is most people in the pic were wearing dress shirts. So i assumed it was a joke to begin with.

Crap I missed that "the History of Polo Shirts" book in high school and college. My bad man! You think I could find any on Amazon? Probably! Thanks for the tip!

You're are continually missing a single detail. I never got the impression that everyone knew the photo was a joke. I got the impression people thought I actually wear my collar like that and thus are laughing at me. No where did I read "haha blonde you're such a tool I love it". I read people actually judging without realizing it was a joke.
