Re: White House advisers say Fox News is not news

I dont think the problem is Fox news.

The problem is all the sucker viewers who will eat up anything that is presented to them.

Most of us from ttp are a step ahead of most every day john doe's. Thing is most people do not discuss politics and just go by what is presented on the news.

If all the news stations talk shit against Obama people will start to believe that obama is crap whether he actually is or not.

If all the news stations talk shit against Bush people will start to believe it because it comes from "the media"

    Get the idea?

There is no solution because we have to pacify the monkey with dumbass prime time netowrk shows like American Idol and House.

I get what you are saying.

Although I am not happy to see that there is no mention of the Feds to issue new medical policy to that stuff.

I am not going to say what stuff is but I am sure there is buzz about it somewhere.

Seems Obama did keep his promise in this arena, which I am very pleased. 8)

Just because they are titling their segments similarly, doesn't quite make the content of the reports similar.

Sensationalism sells viewers. Regardless of where you stand, if it is "sensational" (in the matter of "death panels", which I view as rather crass - but for personal reasons), it will make you watch it. All news stations to some extent are guilty of it. But I've found Fox News riding that horse hard. Political Pundits, with one of them knowing what they're talking about while the other spurts some quick phrases, seem to show this moreso. But as said before, no single network does this exclusively.

Go watch NBC Nightly News as a news source that is fair and balanced. They actually care about their former reputation as a respectable news source. Even if they only have 30 minutes to do it in.

Yes, the growth of Fox News' Viewership may be that high, but please point me to this poll. I've been looking for it.
