A mouth piece of the Obama administration, the one pushing the war on this news outlet, is talking about a mass murderer as favorite political philosopher. When I think mass murderer, I think Hitler. When I think polar opposite of Obama, I think Bush.

The administration is foolish for attempting to do this. They will stir up the base, get the blood pressure up, but they wont do anything to Fox news, other than drive up ratings. It stinks of desperation, and is easier than talking about Health care, Afghanistan, or any of the other things hanging out there.

I understand why they do it, Fox doesn't play their carefully choreographed song and dance.
Well, then, I am sure you can show me where she supports Maoist policies. I won't hold my breath. But in the context of the video, she clearly wasn't supporting Mao. She was talking about not letting other people make your choices for you, and she quoted Mao. You know else who has quoted Mao? Newt Gingrich and John McCain, among other people, and Lee Atwater, who she got the quote from.

But you know, listening to Beck's delusions is clearly a better idea than looking for the facts and truth. And I really don't think the White House is worried about rallying the ever-shrinking base.

It is very evident by this posting that that is exactly what you have done. Anything negative said about this administration by any right-wing news source, you seem to believe without question. That's intellectually dishonest. And I'll be glad to help reeducate you. Let me just call Obama and get you placed in a nice and comfy FEMA concentration and reeducation camp.

The WH is just really pissed at the commentators: Glenn Beck, Hannity and O'Reilly. The issue is moot, b/c the previous three hoodlums are not reporters. They profess to be opinion only commentators, not news men. Every cable news channel has them. Just watch MSNBC: Matthews, Maddow and Olbermann. (Keep in mind the parent company of NBC is GE, the CEO is a big time Obama contributor and advisor of the president)

All the other shows are just plain ol regurgitation of the facts. They should save money and all use the same pool reporters and live feeds

She was talking about not letting other people make your choices for you, and she quoted Mao
She said a person she turns to.
She didn't just quote him, she professed admiration for his methods.
Methods, that when carried to their logical end resulted in the deaths of ten of millions of people.

Think about that number for a second ...tens of millions of people.

Regardless of what positive aspects you may be able to draw from his determination, the simple fact of those tens of millions of people who died directly because of Mao Tse Tung is reason enough to not mention him in an admiring tone.

And BTW, pointing out that somebody else quoted him, positively or otherwise, is no defense for the statement.
As a matter of fact, it sounds very childish, " Well Bobby did it FIRST !!! ".

Oops... my bad! Does that mean we can't tell them about the flu vaccine being a cover-up to inject people with RFID chips so we can track them, too?

Apparently you have an aversion to facts or you would have read the link I provided. Since you won't read it, let me post it: "The Mao quote is one I picked up from the late Republican strategist Lee Atwater from something I read in the late 1980s, so I hope I don't get my progressive friends mad at me," Dunn told CNN.

As for Beck's criticism: "The use of the phrase 'favorite political philosophers' was intended as irony, but clearly the effort fell flat -- at least with a certain Fox commentator whose sense of irony may be missing."

Neither Mother Teresa or Mao were philosophers. But that is probably too logical and reasonable for you to believe. It is obviously more likely that she is a secret commie Mao sympathizer who has been appointed by a commie nazi socialist President.

Well, I wasn't defending the statement because, just like with other people who have quoted him, I don't think it is necessary to defend. Obviously, not everyone who quotes Mao is an admirer. Unless you believe Gingrich, McCain, and Bush are all commie Mao sympathizers.

Re: White House advisers say Fox News is not news

So i personally think both Lenin and Stalin where smart people (especially when it came to politics) though both had their flaws, and i have no problem quoting either because they said some pretty damn good quotes imo. That means i support Stalin's killing of many?

    EDIT: fixed some shit spelling

If you seriously think Fox News is out of line but the above mentioned networks are totally fair and equal, you should take a few weeks off and evaluate yourself.

CNN, CBS, ABC, and MSNBC all have news-oriented programs. Yes, some also have opinion programs like Fox, but that was never the real big problem. The problem is what the cover and how they cover it. Watch, for example, Jon Stewart here:

I am perfectly coherent. You are the most biased poster on this forum, and that is saying a LOT. You have so many preconceived notions about everything you are incapable of viewing the other side of the street.

Re: White House advisers say Fox News is not news

The White House is calling on other news organizations to isolate and alienate Fox News as it sends out top advisers to rail against the cable channel as a Republican Party mouthpiece.
    http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/10/18/white-house-escalates-war-fox-news-1925819282/

Remember what country we live in ?

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

    G Gordon Liddy = Mao/Lenin/Stalin ?

That is one seriously fucked up perspective there.

Fox isn't a real news organization but the Reuters is ?

    http://www.reuters.com/article/idUST...091019?sp=true
Don't call them, don't check your facts in any way, shape or form.
" all the news that fits, we print"

But fact checking Anita Dun ....simply not done.

How is that Kool Aid tasting about now ?
